Adesival Vap BE

COMPUESTO

The waterproofing compound of ADESIVAL membranes is made up of a mix of empty residue distilled bitumen modified with SBS thermoplastic rubber based on radial, linear isoprenic elastomers, synthetic rubber and stabilizing aggregate fillers. The compound is thermally stable, very elastic and flexible at low temperatures.

ARMADURA

The reinforcement used for ADESIVAL VAP BE membranes is made up of a non-woven polyester mat coupled with an aluminium foil, which gives to the product sufficient mechanical and breaking elongation characteristics, as well as dimensional stability. Such characteristics allow to use these membranes also on stressed surfaces.

ACABADO EXTERIOR

ADESIVAL VAP BE membrane is provided on boths sides with a silicone film to peel off while laying.

INSTALACIÓN

The membrane is laid by removing the silicone film and pressing properly both on the running part and on the overlaps, on the clean, smooth and dry laying deck, which will be treated if necessary either with VERVAL PRIMER (solvent based) or ECOPRIMER (water based) for a better adhesion. In case of temperature lower than +15°C (or in case of stored material for a long period) it may be necessary for a better adhesion to heat the membrane a little with warm air or light propane gas flame. For vertical applications fix the edge of the membrane with mechanical fasteners and protect it with a metallic flashing. Edges shall be overlapped by at least 10 cm. on the sides and 15 cm. on top.
