LOW SOUND EMISSION TECHNOLOGIES

Studies show that certain levels of noise can be harmful to human health and the noise produced by road traffic on its own accounts for 40% of noise pollution. To reduce the impact of noise, low sound emission asphalts have been designed that can abate noise by as much as 70% by acting on the surface characteristics that affect the mechanism for generating noise and on noise absorption factors that determine the spread of noise, without affecting any mechanical and functional properties. This performance can be achieved using a highly workable bitumen with rubber powder, that allows a waste material to be transformed into a valuable functional benefit. Rubber powder is added using the DRY method, directly into the asphalt mixer.

  • HARD DRAINING WEARING COURSE WITH LOW SOUND EMISSION WITH DRENOVAL RUBBER

A draining asphalt with a high percentage of gaps calculated to cut down sound emission levels generated by tyres and by the engines of moving vehicles to improve traffic safety (eliminates aquaplaning and gives a strong reduction in the amount of spray from tyres), without producing any odours during processing.

  • GAP GRADED WEARING COURSE WITH LOW SOUND EMISSION WITH DRENOVAL RUBBER

Conglomerate with optimised texture calculated to cut down sound emission levels generated by the tyres of moving vehicles (at least 3-5 dB lower), to improve traffic safety (eliminates aquaplaning and gives a strong reduction in the amount of spray from tyres), to increase the working life of the wearing course layer by at least 35%, without producing any odours during processing.
